Summary: Engineering support is required to assist Districts’ staff in the design of water supply infrastructure improvements needed to more reliably deliver irrigation water to the farming operation at the TLC facility. Proposals were solicited and received from three engineering firms. AECOM was ranked as the most qualified engineering firm to provide the required services. AECOM has extensive experience in designing irrigation water pump stations and the expertise and resources to complete the work within the required timeframe. AECOM submitted a cost-effective proposal, and their proposed hourly rates are comparable to the other engineering firms. This item is consistent with the Districts’ Guiding Principles of commitment to fiscal responsibility and prudent financial stewardship; and commitment to operational excellence (protection of public health and the environment, regulatory compliance, and cost effectiveness).
