Summary: The Board will be updated on the financial status of the Clean Water Works Education Foundation (Foundation). Additionally, the Board is asked to consider approval of the proposed budget, which is attached, for the period from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027. The proposed budget will support educational community outreach programs related to wastewater treatment, clean water, and recycling activities. The Board will also be updated on a potential formal bylaw amendment. Currently, the Foundation’s bylaws vest signing authority solely in the President. As Foundation operations have grown, staff have identified a need to authorize designated staff members to sign routine administrative documents to avoid unnecessary delays. The Board is not being asked to take action at this time; this discussion is intended to provide context ahead of consideration of a formal amendment, which will be distributed to Directors at least 30 days before any vote.
